Depending on how time is going, after doing the Hardknott Pass, we have a little detour up to Wasdale Head as well.
This adds about 50 miles extra to the day, but it's worth it to ride past Wastwater (Britain's deepest lake, pictured) and take refreshment at the Wasdale Head Inn.
