Accommodation 2007
 |
Accommodation On Friday & Saturday night, we use a Country Inn in Dent. This is not a plush hotel, but a clean and comfortable traditional pub / restaurant with en-suite rooms. There is also a second Inn in the village. This 17th century pub offers even more charm and character, but its 4 rooms are not en-suite. Food is provided at both places, as well as locally brewed Real Ales.
Thursday and / or Sunday. For guests travelling a long way, perhaps from the south of England, I can arrange accommodation if required. You can go for a 4 star city hotel if you want, but I normally pick budget B&B or modest hotel accommodation close to my home (West Bridgford). There are good pubs & places to eat, and it’s usually a chance for a get-together on Thurdsay night to meet the other guests.
Variations - you can do this a camping weekend if you want. High Laning Farm is a very pleasant campsite on the edge of the village. For my September 2007 tour we used this place - and it rained!
For an extra supplement, if you're staying Thursday or Sunday night in Nottingham, you can choose a 3 star Business Class hotel with pool and leisure facilities if this kind of thing impresses you.
