Tip 4, eating

click to see larger image Go with an open mind! Eating local food is delicious, and excellent value compared with the "farang food" tourists often choose.

When stopping at remote villages, there may be no menu, and no choice. Just occasionally we get a dud meal. Pieces of heart, Aorta, and strange puffy white (fishy?) balls, pictured left wasn't one of the best meals we were served!

Local dishes cost as little as 30 or 40 pence. "Farang" food, such as steak & chips may be £5 or more.
