You can fly into Newcastle airport, rent a great bike just 6 miles away, and use this accommodation as a base throughout your stay, or just at the beginning and end of a Tour of Northern England or Scotland. The Cheviot Hills, Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, and the whole of Scotland would be in reach. The owners is a biker, and as is usually the case, welcomes like minded people to his cottage.

The Butterchurn Guest House is situated in Otterburn village, 30 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne on the A696. We are in a central location to tour Northumbria, Kielder Forest, Hadrian's Wall, the Scottish Borders and the Lakes.
We have 7 en-suite rooms and prices for 2005 are: Single rooms £30 including breakfast per night. Double or twin rooms £25 including breakfast per night.
Facilities include: Off road (out of sight) parking, garage for 3 bikes, drying room, TV lounge.
Shop, post office, cafe and two pubs (200m away) in village.
Biker friendly, excellent local knowledge of the area, history, places to visit, best routes.
Willing to take people on day tours using the Butterchurn Guest House as a base.
