The White House Experience Guest House has been converted from a former farmhouse and buildings and dates back to the 17th century; a yeoman farmer rebuilt it in 1765. lovingly restored and retaining many of its original features yet providing modern high quality accommodation ,surrounded by mature gardens and the breathtaking countryside of the English lake district and Eden Valley yet close to the M6 (junction 40)
We are proud and delighted to announce that The English Tourism Council has recently awarded us a Four Diamond Rating for our Guest Accommodation and service. If you come and try us you will not be disappointed.
I haven't yet visited the place myself, but it looks just fine (in fact a 4 diamond rating is pretty posh!), the prices are very reasonable, and the owners, George & Joy are happy to welcome motorcycling guests. Penrith is ideal for touring the Lake District, or as a stop off point on the way to Scotland - a day's ride from Bike Tours base in Nottingham.
