We like to feel that Las Razes is a bit different. It is a place that is quite capable of being different things for different people. A great location for a large family gîte holiday, a romantic hide-away for a short break, an ideal base for discovering this beguiling corner of the Midi-Pyrenees in South West France, a base for holiday hunters and the list goes on.
From April to October (with the exception of weeks that are booked as a gîte) Las Razes operates as a bed and breakfast (chamber d’hotes) offering comfortable accommodation, deep in the heart of the Tarn et Garonne countryside, close to the village of Touffailles.
Touffailles is a pretty little village set amongst the rolling hills between the larger villages of Lauzerte and Montaigu de Quercy. This striking agricultural area bordered by the River Lot (to the North) and the River Garonne (to the South) provides an ever changing backdrop of fruit trees, sunflowers, cereals, melons, vines and cattle.
Visitors staying at Las Razes take the opportunity to visit many attractive places in the area. Amongst the favourites are Cahors, Agen, Montauban, Villeneurve-sur-Lot, Puy L’Eveque, Montcuq, Moissac, Auvillar, Valance, Tournon D’Agenais, Penne D’Agenais, Castlesarrasin, Cirq Lapopie, Lauzerte, Montjoi, Brassac, Beauville, Borg de Visa, Montaigu de Quercy, Miramont de Quercy, Castlesagrat, St Nicholas de Grave, Fummel, Chateau de Bonaguil, Puymirol and further afield the Millau Bridge, Sarlat, Bergerac, Toulouse, and Albi.
We hope that can provide you with a good value base for your holiday, whether you want a lazy holiday with a book and a glass of wine, a walking adventure, a chance to tour the local medieval villages and local markets. There is plenty to do without leaving Las Razes but when (or if) you are wanting to venture further we are on hand to help you with the information you will need.
