added to my rental fleet in October 2005.
NO LONGER FOR HIRE (but not for sale either - I like it too much!)
If you want to read my full review of the Triumph Thunderbird Sport see here It's only my opinion of course, but I do like it.
The Triumph Thunderbird has real presence. It's a modern classic from John Bloor's Hinckley factory. It's solidly built, with no hint of plastic. It's got enough power (about 82bhp) but isn't fast at all by modern sports bike standards.
The bike is pictured here; a classic British bike outside a country pub in the Cotswolds. How English can you get?
I took this photo on the long ride back from South Wales after buying it. Click photo to enlarge.
Footnote. I love this bike so much that I may withdraw it from hire and keep it just for myself because I don't want it trashed.
PS - I did. I stopped doing bike rental, sold most of the bikes I didn't need - but kept this T'Bird just for me. |
