Clive's Alps Tour June 2004

click to see larger image Hi Bill, thanks for the Email. Yes I arrived home safely just before 8 last night. You're right about the ringing noises, my ears haven't recovered yet either. It was windy all the way home for me and there were quite a few showers (although I never got wet). The Bandit performed brilliantly during the trip, it used a small amount of oil but that's not surprising considering the way I drove it at times. The trip to Calais was done at xxxmph (edited! - watch that section of the A26 Clive). Apart from the speedo stopping after I'd jet-washed the bike I had no problems at all. If anyone's considering doing the trip on a 600 and they are concerned that their bike isn't up to it give them my Email address and I'll put their mind at rest. I've started to sort the photos out and will put them on a cd for you asap. Please feel free to use any of them on your website (in fact I insist you use at least one after the piss-taking I've had from everyone). thanks again for the model Bandit and a holiday to remember,

I'm off to give the bike a well-earned wash now..................cheers......Clive
