It has been noted that whilst touring with luggage, maybe carrying a pillion, and after scratching on French mountain roads - tyres can wear much quicker than you think.
Make sure you have enough tread left. The tyre pictured looked OK at Dover (well, only just actually), but a few days into the trip, we noticed this dangerous level of wear. Be warned!
Consider fitting some kind of tyre sealant, such as Ultraseal before departure, or at least carry some form of temporary repair kit such as an aerosol mousse, or plug kit. |
