Hi readers!

April & May "Best of Three" trips were both well oversubcribed, and unbelievably (see photo), it was fantastic weather for the SEVENTH time in a row in April!  Hey - this cannot last, I bet we get rain on the May trip! No - we didn't.  A bit chilly but blue skies, sunshine and not a drop of rain again.  WOT?  The Lake District 8 times running, and no rain at all?  Yup.

TT Races on the Isle of Man.  Due to cancellations (like I get EVERY single year) I still have some prime slots still available.  See article directly below.  Come on, snap up these remaining ferry tickets, camping, accommodation or guesthouse places.  I can even provide a rental bike for the TT races if you need one. (spare tickets now cancelled - shame.)  However, I did have 55 people on this tour!

French Alps Trips - the Chamonix trip has been full for months now, but the Bourg one still has some spaces left. Why is this?  The Bourg trip has the better riding and lots more to do, so why did the Chamonix trip sell out first?  Perhaps you're all swayed by the posher hotel eh?  Don't miss out on the Alps this year.  The Bourg St Maurice trip has been moved to fit the Trans' Vanoise rally and the big bonfire festival of the Fete de St Jean.  Especially if you go for my camping deal, this is about the best priced biking run to the Alps you'll ever get the chance to do.

Have I scared people away by saying this is very demanding riding for experienced bikers only?  Trust me, I'm NOT anti-novice, but very occasionally I've had someone who just can't hack this superb, exciting riding through awesome, breathtaking mountain scenery.  If they are not happy, I'm not happy.  I'm just pointing out that this is the ultimate biking experience (see www.alpineroads.com if you don't believe me) and is the best you're going to get in Europe.  Does that put you off?

I've had people who've only ridden for two months, and guys who've been drawing pensions for several years who adore this trip - so it's nothing to do with age or experience.  The emphasis is on RIDING however, not creature comforts.

Dordogne / Picos / Thailand - enough takers to run all these trips again, although still space for a couple more..  Good.

Rental bikes - I bought an almost new, ZR-7 (750cc) for guest use, and the second person to hire it wrote it off.  The Dommie is usable now, but still not pretty.  See rental section.

Testimonials (guest comments) - I've added a load of recent feedback in this section, so have a look here if you've been out riding with me recently.

BMF Show / Rally 2005  I'll have a stand there again, 21st & 22nd May in Peterborough.  Come & see me.  No great shakes, I'll just have a basic stand in the Two Wheel Tours section (cowsheds), where I'll have some tour photos on display. I'm not selling anything;  it's just a chance to chat to past, present, and maybe future customers, and even share a beer together!  To find out more about the show see here  Meant to do a write up of the show, but I ran out of time.  Too busy getting ready for TT Races tour now.

Sorry - I'm not inspired to write anything creative or amusing this month. I feel a bit guilty about this. March saw 11,000 new visitors coming to this website, and April attracted well over 14,000 readers. I need to keep adding extra content for you.

I occasionally feel the need to pontificate on something or other, but now, I'm just too busy & tired!  I'll try harder next month. Perhaps.
