Isle of Man TT Races 2008

2008 TT Trip now FULL, as of 17th April 2008.

No space, no spare ferry tickets left, unless there are any cancellations - which sometimes happens.  People have a habit of crashing their bikes just before departure!

Core dates 30th May to 7th June 2008.

I have rooms reserved at a family-run Guesthouse in Douglas, but I'm also still trying to track down additional guesthouse or hotel rooms, because  I do not have sufficient accommodation for those requesting it.

There is an almost unlimited amount of camping space available though. I can offer a cheap camping option and can even supply tents if needed.

The itinerary will be very similar to the previous years' trips, where overseas guests will need to arrive a day or two in advance, to allow time to sort out rental bikes as required.

The plan for 2008, as always, is to offer a package, with a choice of guesthouse (Homestay) acccommodation or a more adventurous camping option.

Background
I started running group trips to the IOM TT races in 2000, although I'd already flown over there some years before in a microlight to see the races. I was asked by a couple of American guests to set up a trip for them and agreed to do so. I found it was quite hard work sorting out the ferry tickets and accommodation with only a few months to go, and realised that if I was going to go to the effort for 2 people, I may as well go all the way and set up a trip for around a dozen people.

I’ve taken a group out there for the last eight years now.

Mark & Mark, pictured above, are not entering their sidecar team in 2008 unfortunately.
