Our Hotel in Bourg

click here to enlarge Our Hotel
I have visited all, and stayed in several of the 9 hotels in Bourg St Maurice. The most suitable one for our trip is La Petite Auberge situated on the outskirts of the town because it is run by such a very friendly couple – and our bikes are most welcome because the owner himself rides a Triumph Speed Triple. All rooms have private shower, and most have now been upgraded to full en-suite facilities. There is also terrace bar & restaurant attached.

If you really need the upgrade, there is also the brand new, 3 star Hotel L’Autantic, just opposite La Petite Auberge. Although this hotel is new, it’s built in traditional Alpine style. All rooms are modern with en-suite facilities, and some have balconies as well. Use of this 3 star hotel does incur additional cost however, and previous guests have commented on the nicer ambiance and hospitality of La Petite Auberge. Both Hotels are around 15 minutes’ walk into the town centre.  The 3* Autantic does not have a bar or restuarant.

The Hostellerie du Petit St Bernard, also featured on the TV show (home of the French GSXR1000 race twins), is an alternative if La Petite Auberge becomes full.
